Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.
I know this is a no-duh for 90% of people reading it but for the sake of the rest lets revise what we all should know about online phishig. And before you go all:

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

I just want to thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday! A big hug to all the Gaians who kindly draw me piccis of Ako and Vaucia as birthday pressies, and to

for being the only person to send me brithday art just on DA [link]^__^ *hugs you all*

Also, thanks go out to everyone who commented on my Vaucai and Ako character sheets, your comments were really encouraging and help motivate me to get on with my own manga^_^

And a final thanks goes out to all the art police here on DA that spotted the mass of stolen artoki art on DA lately, and kindly reported teh thieves or noted me about it. I'm really glad to see so many of you care, and I really appreciate all the help you guys have given me on theft matters!

My birthday turned out alright after all. The day itself was sucky, but the day after, I came online and saw all the lovely online well wishes and gifts I'd got. And at the weekend my boyfriend took me to a Classical concert - which was fantastic! My other hald wasn't really looking forward to going, but when he got there he really enjoyed himself too, so that pleased me know end, now I can get him to take me to more of the same ^_^
BTW, if anyone has a good rendition of the 1812 Overture as an mp3, I've been searching high and low for it. It was the final piece of the concert, and they did such a good job of it! I'd love ito find an equally good version to remember it by! Since WinMX died I've been struggling to find any music online at all X_X
I'll upload another picci of Vaucia later on today or tommorrow, I'd do it now, but I have other stuff to do T_T</b>

Hum..MP3's are a little difficult for classical music, as the files tend to be really enormous, and cut off at odd moments. Damn my slow server...

I think HMV and such like sell 3 classical CDs for about 15 quid...Naxos are quite cheap as well...

Hmm, I was just looking at my library's online system.....lets see, they've got the 1812 overture performed by:

One by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and one the Philadelphia Orchestra. There's also one by the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra (1st-2nd works) and the London Symphony Orchestra (3rd work) and lastly the University of Minnesota Brass Band, with commentary too. Hmm.

And then there's this one huge one with tons of various orchestras playing the songs...there's too many to list, really.

It's been a long time since I heard the 1812 Overture so I can't make any recommendations of which ones are good, but if any of these happen to strike your fancy, I can request it and make and mp3 of the song you wanted. I'm already requesting a bunch of other stuff, so it'd be no problem.

Oh, and one last thing: Die art thieves!

I hate them so much. Glad to hear that some people spotted the thieves and reported them though.
