Am I feeling smug with this pic? Yes I think I am! This is Britain's character, also going by the name Britain. Look, my first real gun! Does it look okay? I'm particularly pleased with how the face came out, shame I did such a lame background. Adding final whisps to hair is fun ^_^ I feel my (semi)realism is impoving a lot, it's kinda sad that my anime/manga style seems to be stuck at it's current level, I wish I was better at anime.
sh*t, you complain?......good! all artists must be strict on themselves but ENJOY the art! this goes on my favs alhough it's style will be a bit out of place...
she's a hot cartoon and has a gun what can i say?

Being that you asked about the gun I'll give some critiques. I'll go from the top down.
There are no sights on the weapon. Makes it hard to aim accurately. Typically front sights are a single block up front and a U shaped piece in the back. when aligned properly the front piece lines up in the middle of the U shaped piece. Then you'll see 3 dots or some other pattern depending on the make of the sights.
The barrel is too thin. The size is about right, but the barrel would be thicker so it could handle the pressures of the gasses propelling the round. I'd cut some area out of the slide and just make the barrel thicker.
The slide-frame interface is good and I like that you've got the deal for the recoil rod and the accessory rails are in about the right place.
Trigger discipline - people that shoot guns a lot learn that they should not keep their finger on the trigger until they decide to shoot. Usually the trigger finger is kept straight so it rests on either the slide or the front of the trigger guard, then when you want to fire you just put your finger inside the guard and pull the trigger. Takes about an extra .01 seconds to fire, but the weapon is much safer and under control if you fire that way.
The grip is probably too long. Depending on the model of gun that might be okay, but most pistols usually don't extend much further than the bottom of your hand when you are holding it. That way it doesn't protrude behind you very much when it is on your hip. Makes it easier to handle too.
Maybe those will help you for next time. Really a good job though, just thought you might like some input on the gun.
I'm going to fave it anyway because overall it is a really good job. Constructive criticism is nice huh?
