Averial Drow : Raeshaby ~Artoki

Drawn for Raesha, this is her character ... ummm...Raesha! Raesha is the resulting offspring of a Drow and an Averial elf, and yes her wings are supposed to look beat-up and disheveled. I loved the character description on this and had a lot of fun drawing it. I tried to get myself a new style with this one (points to the intentionally over sized hands and the purposefully drawn super skinny, about to snap, waist) and I think it works quite well, looks kinda videogame-ish. I was originally aiming for something a little bit 'Final Fantasy Tactics' in style, but as it progressed it developed away from the original concept and into what you now see. Lately I've been looking at a lot of HTK art, and I think he has influenced my colouring style and the style of the face in this one. I wanted the bg to look misty (not sure if I achieved that), the mist also explains why she's so shiney( heavy mist makes you damp^^). It's one of my fave pieces to date^^"
